Re: Favorite Lunch Meat / Cold Cuts

We shop Costco so our go-to's are:

*Dietz & Watson Originals Organic Roasted Turkey Breast (I'll also take Kirkland, if they're out of D & W)

*Kirkland Uncured Black Forest Ham

*Kirkland Seasoned Roast Beef

*Citerrio Hard Salame

@cheriere   Mortadella is one of those big lunchmeat types.  It's usually make of pork and looks like bologna with white pieces in it. Those white pieces are pork fat.  Usually it has plack peppercorns in it too.   I like it.

I also like german bologna, genoa salame, Liverwurst  and for cheese Very Very thin sliced Munster cheese.  I find with cheese, the thinner the slice the more intense the flavour.

My parents still buy liverwurst frequently too.  I'm not much of a fan, but they love it.  I thought I'd like it because I love beef liver and even chicken liver.  I do like Munster cheese though, but haven't had any in ages.  In fact, there's not a single cheese I don't love lol.

Before I started buying the fresh lunch meat from the deli, all I was wanting to eat was either cheese sandwiches or cheese and crackers.  The later usually topped with a little Franks hot sauce.

@cheriere  I like a little chili sauce on a cheese sandwich.

Ooh that does sound delicious!  I've never thought to use chili sauce either.  Thanks for the recommendation.  I'll definitely give that a try.💝

I love ❤️ cheese!  All cheeses!   Extra sharp cheddar has been my go to for a long time now.  I cut some slices off the block everyday and put them in a ziplock.  I prefer it to be warm or room temperature.  It sure makes a great  sandwich or just on top of crackers.

Just thought it would be fun to see what's everyone's favorite lunch meat/cold cut for a sandwich.

Lately, I've been keeping the deli busy with all my requests each week for roast beef and turkey.  I seem to really be on a turkey kick lately.  I like it sliced paper thin too.

What's your favorite?

Dry salami with mayo and provolone cheese.
