LOL @Desertdi - very true!!

It is so frustrating when things like this happen and I too would be angry if it kept happening this way.

Re: False advertising

I tried this item too.  Guess it was a sign that I didn't need it.  Another L&L item a few months ago was the same thing.  Yes, I can put it in my cart today.........

The QVC system and website have been struggling with inventory for a few months now, and it can certainly be frustrating. There have been many threads and posts in the forums documenting items that pop up in search results but actually haven't been available for sale in years, search results that list all kinds of items that have nothing to do with the search parameters, search results that include a few initial items within the parameters but then add dozens of unrelated items, and listings for items that appear to be in stock but actually are not (as evidenced by the infamous "just missed it" banner that pops up on the item page when you try to add the item to your cart or the "removed from cart" message that appears when you click Checkout if you were somehow able to add it to your cart).

Add to all of this the fact that QVC continues to send more and more marketing email and integrates more and more pop-ups and fly-ins and auto-launch video windows and more and more crazy banter, antics, and distractions on air, and the shopping experience with the company has become totally unappealing and unengaging.

Sometimes, it honestly feels like some marketing execs are trying to find the point where the majority of customers finally walk away so they can just say, "There. That's it. You can push and prod and overwhelm them up to that limit, but don't go beyond it. We're good." And until then, we're just going to be bombarded by ridiculousness. Sigh.
