For 2 weeks I have been trying to buy:
It has been on clearance and the price showed as $17.99. I would add it to my cart but when I went to check out it was removed saying it was sold out. But they kept sending me email saying it is back in stock and that "X amount of people had added it to their cart in the last 24 hours". There it is, they added it but they didn't buy it. Every day I would get an email it is back in stock, I would add the item, every time it said it was in stock and in my cart, I would go to checkout and the same thing happened. It says cart empty as it is sold out. Over and over. I get an email yesterday 06/02/26 that said it was back in stock and above the item it now says Final Sale and the price is now $11.99!! Again I go to add it, it says it is in stock, is in my cart and when I go to check out it says again that it is sold out!! I called them today 06/03/26 and unleashed telling them that is false advertising as they know it is sold out yet they lowered the price. Whoever knowingly states products are available when they are not needs to be fired. They are liars.

I would say it is a computer glitch, no lying involved. Yes, it should be fixed.

Perhaps it was just that color that was sold out? Did you try any of the other colors? I wouldn't have the nerve to chew out a customer service rep for something that is beyond his/her control nor would I want to do so. What good did it do?

I hear you. I have followed this item for longer than that. As you siad when you put it in your cart and then try to purchasse it says my cart is empty and it's sold out. I find this really frustrating as while I'll be looking at it I get the pop up that says hundered of people have purchased in the last day or hour. I diid a chat twice and both times they told me it was sold out and it would be removed. I agree this is false advertising or good old bait and switch. If that is sold out I am not going to purchase a different item! I noticed today it now says "final sale." It is no wonder the Q is hurting!

There's not an actual person sitting there adjusting inventory by the minute, so there's no one lying and no one to fire.
It's obviously a computer glitch as stated above and while your frustration is understandable, I hope you really didn't "unleash" on the rep that answered your call.
That's why very few people will work in customer service these days. It's brutal

I had similar problem with the same L&L item. It would be showing up and I could add it to my cart, but when I tried to purchase it on free shipping day, it was magically sold out.
The next day it was available for purchase again. I didn't buy it, though I could have. I waited for free shipping and tried again....it was sold out.
For some reason QVC wouldn't let me buy it with free shipping.
On another item, I bought it with free shipping. My daughter wanted it too, but the price went up on the next free shipping day. The next day it was reduced again.
It's not false advertising, but it's kind of shady.

It's for your own good...round cannisters take up MORE storage space than square ones...

Who knows where in line you were to receive notice that it was back in stock. It may well have sold out again before you got the email.
