Not only french fries....but French pastry also !  True story that DH and I saw with our own eyes while on a Cape May vacation.

 

DH recognized a colleague who had just come out of a French pastry shop on the pedestrian mall.  The fellow put the dessert down and turned his back for a moment.  A sea gull swooped down and took the whole pastry from the plate on the table !

 

Fellow goes in and they replaced the pastry.  At this point DH remembers the guy’s name and calls out a Hello !  Fellow turns to wave and......there went another pastry !

Years ago  was at the beach and a gull swooped down and took a tuna fish sandwich from my hands,  Was afraid to pull out other half.

At Disney World at the Mexican Pavilion the birds will swoop in and take food from the table and if you aren't careful, they will steal right out of your hand.  No food is sacred.
