I just was channel surfing and came across the Evine TSS. Needless to say it piqued my curiosity. So to check it I came to the Q forum for more information and review of induction cooking. Thanks Jane Marple for starting this thread. For me the price is right and decided to take the plunge. I also ordered the disk that enables cooking for aluminum pans. This is something I can try at home but will travel and bring along. I want to thank everyone that gave insight into this product. The price is great worth a try. Imo

Which one did you choose?

Had insomnia last night so I was channel surfing and saw the induction burner. So pretty and one thing she said was that she waited to make these until the earlier ones were out.. to make sure she got it right. One difference is that it s all one level while some earlier ones had the controls under plastic which curled at the edge. I ended up getting the Savannah pattern (blue and white) and also the adapter disc so I could use it with some older pans altho I read that this option isn't as efficient. Its ok since I have enough stainless so I will not need it most of the time.

The patterns are nice.

JaneMarple. I chose the plaid as I wanted a lighter color and the Hen & Chicks were showing no longer available. Hope it will be good. This is something I plan on taking with me on an airplane and leaving it at my destination. Can't wait to receive it and try it out. Thanks everyone for all your input.

I got the hens and chicks and the induction disk. I have no idea if I will ever use it, but that's kind of my life!!!

Nobody ever mentions this in the demonstrations, but I am pretty sure you should not get one if you or anyone else who uses the kitchen has a pacemaker.
I am only using induction burners and have 3. But when I saw the cute chickens design, I was tempted to get it. But restrained myself.

It is another cooking surface to use.It heats super fast and the surface stays cool. The catch is the pots have to be induction ready or it won't work. A magnet that sticks to you pot bottom indicates it can be used on an induction cooktop If the magnet does not stick your pan will not work on the cooking surface. Mine came with a magnet just for that purpose. I don't know if they stress that a lot. I own the Cook's companion model and have several induction pans to use with it. The flip pans they sell are like pressure cookers and fun to use. After reading about the induction disk from others on here I ordered it for mine, will allow me to use all of my regular pans. Thanks so much for the information.![]()
