If anyone here can give some recommendations for an Espresso machine, I'd appreciate it. I've been looking for one, for a few weeks now. I don't need or want the large Breville brand machine as it will just be used for me. I would like a smaller or more compact machine. Do you own an Espresso machine and if so, what brand? TIA

Have you considered a Nespresso machine? I have the Vertuo Next and like it. I didn't want one that was a "project" for me to learn, just something simple.

My brother and SIL own a small espresso machine made by the brand ILLY, the model is called Easy.  It was about $280 from Amazon.  They are happy with the coffee it makes.

I wanted an espresso machine but didnt want to do the dial in - tamping situation

I went with the Delonghi fully automatic Eletta just before Thanksgiving

I press a button - choices of flat white, cappuccino, latte etc

it grinds the beans and froths the oatmilk -

It is not small but after looking at many videos

i know i will be that person who wants to do latte art

getting the puck just right - grounds everywhere and so many parts to clean after a drink

I just want something simple - this checks all the boxes for me

I have a DeLonghi EC155 15 Bar Espresso and cappuccino machine.  I love it but it's almost ten years old and I only spent $79.99.  I see the same model on Amazon is now $300.00.  I think they have other newer models but it has held up well.

It's simple to use.  I make a cup every morning.  I love how I only use coffee & water but still get a nice foamy top!

My DD has a small Breville which makes one cup at a time and is similar to the DeLonghi that I have.  I don't have her model number.

Agree with @annie57 . I've had a Bialetti moka pot for years and love it. It's simple to use and clean--no elaborate cleaning rituals. No gadgets and electronics to fail. Doesn't take up much space in the cupboard. And it makes great coffee.

I use it with a $25 electric milk frother and steamer I bought from QVC years ago. They no longer carry such a thing, but you can find them on Amazon.

I buy different kinds of Italian-style expresso beans and syrups. Totally satisfies my cravings for different coffees.

Bialetti even sells a MacKenzie-Childs version of their moka pot.

When I was a coffee drinker---back in the days when lattes were starting--I bought a tiny Krups machine--anyone remember those? and man alive, I turned into a latte making maniac!!! and I was goood too!!😁I could froth up that milk like a champ!!! Think I paid $70 back in the 90's for it and it worked  for a long time too. Can't do the caffiene anymore--am allergic---😤. My daughter has a Nespresso at her work--and says by far, it is really great. Had use of a Kuerig--- the Nespresso was superior. So many brands and such a  wide price range----
