I just finished a 32 oz can of coffee.  This sounds stupid, but I took the label off and it looks so nice and shiny I don't want to throw it out.  I was thinking of making a planter out of it with moss and fake foliage.  Any other ideas????

I use Folgers coffee in the red plastic cans, and my ex uses them to store small stuff in the garage. Now you've made me think!

Not stupid at all. In the past, I have covered a few with fabric or pretty paper and used them to grow herbs.  Lots of ideas can be found

I drain grease in Folger container and keep under the sink.

Not as nice as yours, OP, but I always keep some empties around to pour cooking grease into.  I freeze, and dispose of, when full.

I printed labels for a few of my empties.  You can find everything from pictures of coins to rice to toys.  Just search for Folger’s Coffee Can Labels.

The plastic can is is great for tossing your coins in at the end of the day and easy to take to the bank coin machine for exchange.

This isn’t a decorating idea, but here goes. I used to have plantar fasciitis and a friend told me this trick: put ice in an old coffee can (with a lid), then roll your sore foot over it to help ease the pain. It’s the perfect arch to fit in your instep. The metal can conducts the coldness from the ice right to your sore foot and you can do it while you’re sitting down. It’s not a cure, but it helps!

OMG, @Deb665, I'm never throwing out a coffee canister again! Just got back from a quick look at Pinterest, I can paint/decorate them to match my kitchen! I'm thinking dog food, treats, utensil holder. Even tho I don't hang laundry anymore, I liked the idea of stringing one on a clothesline to hold clothes pins. Must.Drink.More.Coffee.

I have trouble reaching over my head now, and coffee canisters, even tho unfortunately you can't see what/how much is in them, I think they'll be easier for me to take down from a top shelf than Tupperware or LNL.

@kaydee50, thanks for bringing this up!

I saw an advertisement for that big pressure cooker that is also a crockpot, etc.  They used coffee cans to bake their bread in.  Interesting.............
