Emeril Pressure Cooker- help needed!

I just used it for the first time. I thought the instruction book left a little to be desired. I had a heck of a time getting the pressure release valve in. Now I am cleaning it up & I can't get the vale out. Is there a trick to removing it? Twisting & pulling? I'm afraid I'll break it. Any advice would be appreciated.

There us a groove on the inside of the 'pressure chimney' that lines up with a notch on the pressure valve.

I have that one too. I have to wiggle it a bunch to get it off. Don't pull too hard, just line up the notch with the opening and wiggle/pull it.

I made a yankee potroast yesterday. I should have followed the instructions that came in the Emeril book, but I bought another cook book. It recommended 45-50 mins, and it was still a little tough. I checked Emeril's and he said 60 mins. I think that would have been better. Another night I did chicken tenders and pasta with teriyaki and a throw-together dish after work. Not bad, but I need practice.
