My friend likes hers. She doesn't like messing with charcoal or gas. I wonder if you could put liquid smoke in those pressurized sprayers and just spray your meat before cooking?

I went and checked the walmart site, they have it in red for $142.34 and black for $143.99, both with free shipping. You do have to put it together, but the instructions are pretty good. It helps to have a second pair of hands on a couple of the steps, but it CAN be done by one person. I am 63 and have arthritis in my right shoulder and I did it with no help. I love just walking out on the porch and all I've got to do is turn it on, no bags of charcoal and no tanks! After the first cooking I did decide to line the basin with foil to make it easier to clean.

I was looking at electric, indoor grills when they had the Rangemate microwave grill. I bought it instead. I don't need another electric appliance for my counter tops. The Rangemate will do what I want, as it is very, very hot down here, breaking 100+ in May and still going strong, 111 yesterday with the heat index! Humidity makes all the difference. Slaving over a 400 degree grill is not an option unless we cook at 8 at night, then it is cool enough.

I am doing an update on my electric grill since I have now used it for several months since my last post, and....I still LOVE it!!!! I use it several times a week and everything has been delicious. I have grilled steaks, pork chops, chicken breasts, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken thighs, and probably some other stuff I forgot about. I don't ever want to be without this thing (Char Broil Patio Bistro). It is so nice to be able to just walk outside on the patio and all I have to do is just turn it on. I have used the Yoshi type of grill mats and this greatly reduces my cleanup time.

The flavor is really close to the same as using a gas grill and I am satisfied with that. I have the GF indoor grill and a glass top indoor grill and this is 100 times better than those, I do not use either one of those anymore. I hope this helps some of you thinking about an electric grill.
