I always use a buffet or sideboard (and sometimes the kitchen island) for my food. My mother never placed food on the table for occasions so guess I learned from her.

I don't know about anyone else, but the guys in the family want the food on the table and not the fluff.  

It's a beautiful table but the males I know just want food.
