Last Friday evening we went to a Christmas banquet. The food was perhaps some of the worst ever had at such an affair. The dessert was one for the garbage: a donut bread pudding which used a well known brand of donuts sold at most markets. I took one bite and didn't go back to the plate.

Is this donut bread pudding something new? Oh for the days of New York cheesecake with raspberry coulis!
