Don't get the fascination with TT

I understand there must be some kind of 'signed in blood' connection between QVC and Tara McConnell. It seems as powerful as the Joy/HSN connection.

But... Let's face it. It would be different if TT was a good product, but it's not. TT is overpriced, has notoriously poor QC, poor performance,(cracking, glazing), and has a lot of better competitors. Every ITKWD features at least 2 showings of TT. Numerous TSVs during the year.

It would seem that every one that wants TT, must have enough of it by now. I guess QVC is built on the premise that 'If they broadcast it, they will buy'. They will ride the wave until it's over. It's just amazing to me that the TT wave has lasted this long.

BTW: Those of you that enjoy/collect TT. Please don't take offense. It's just my problem that I don't see the attraction. I have some TT from about 10,(?) years ago. I use it once in awhile and value two pieces in particular, but don't want/need any more!

Why is it that those who are not attracted to TT find it necessary to write post after post after post about how much they dislike this product? Don't like it don't buy it - see how simple that is? They have sold tens of millions of these sets on QVC - they are making money on them - that is the point of QVC - sell products and make money.When you walk through the mall do you find you have to love every item you see up for sale? When I read posts like this one I always think the OP is jealous of Tara and her success.

${#emotions_dlg.thumbup}$ Hey, you're BOTH right!!! I fully agree with the OP, TT is pretty looking junk (in my opinion) AND QVC is in the business to sell products and make money. Obviously, they'll sell anything to do it. She's stating her opinion, that's what people do on Forums, I don't think she's jealous at all. Baffled maybe, but not jealous.

No, its not jealousy...the stuff is throw away junk. You can find better quality in Walmart, and probably at a lower cost. Heaven knows there are prettier items out there too.

Sure they have sold "millions" of items, but it cracks, chips, and break in half in the oven......this actually happened to my daughter, you don't experience this until you have it in your home.

QVC will continue to sell the stuff, until people decide to move on...just like everything else.

I haven't seen any indication of any OP's being ""jealous"" of any vendor's success on the Q. What a bizarre statement!

LOL. I love this thread. I'm not into TT either, but to each his own. I probably own stuff others wouldn't like. What's the cliche - there's no accounting for taste?
