My in laws have a Britta and their well water is still gross. We have a Zero pitcher and I really like it. Clean refreshing water. It comes with a tester thingy so you can see when the filter needs to be replaced.
ETA I choose the Zero because it filtered out more junk

I have two Brita pitchers: one at home on my kitchen counter and one in my office at work. I prefer my water room temp, so it's the perfect fit for me. I've had them for several years. I find it's a great alternative to bottled water which seem to accumulate.
I recently discovered that Target now has their own brand of the filters for the Brita pitchers. They're more cost effective and, if you have a Red Card you'll save an additional 5% off the purchase price (even more if they're on sale).

I have a GE which is mounted under the sink and works well. Have had it for about a year and a half and am very satisfied. Did order it directly from GE, but you can get it also other places.

Thank you. So many good options I will have to consider which would work best for us. I would not want to drop the pitcher and have it crack that is for sure. I tend to drop things lol.
