30 or more years old set of 4 Pyrex glass mixing bowls.

As if I need to admit to one more obsession on these boards, but I am a Pyrex bowl addict. I have my mom/grandma's, and I started collection various sets of their great vintage mixing bowls. My son had to build me a set of shelves for in the laundry room, just so I could display them. I choose different sets for different seasons and use them often. Just love old Pyrex.

Not worn, but have Corning from the 70's and grabbed every piece my MIL's and mother had.  They all look like new.  Same with my Pyrex.

We do have an old hand-crank coffee grinder that was DH's grandmother's (decorative) and he uses his grandfather's old brass wine bottle opener.  DH says he thinks of his Grandpa every time he uses it. Smiley Happy

Yes, my copper bottom Revereware sauce pans, set of three with lids.  A dear friend gave them to us for our wedding (they came in a set with two skillets, one SS and one non-stick, and  6-qt sauce pan, which I've since ditched and upgraded).  Once in a great while I'll polish up the bottoms and they still sparkle like new.  I think about replacing them sometimes but then I think, "why?".

 The same thing could be said for DH.

@Sweetbay magnolia

You think about replacing DH or you polish up his bottom? Cat WinkCat LOL

[ Edited ]

thank you @house_cat for his thread -- it made a great topic of discussion at our annual girlfriend dinner tonight! Funny, most of have old things in our kitchen we use regularly -- and believe it they're still in perfect condition.

Most these ladies all raved about still using their copper bottom revere ware -- my mother had them too! Someone today is probably using them and enjoying them too. (Donated all her things when she passed). Others talked about hand me down mixers that are still working like a gem! I thought gee my old standby hand mixer has to be over 50 years old it was my aunts Sunbeam.

So we still love these everyday things with the stories of nostalgia attached. Thanks again for starting this thread I've so enjoyed reading it!

Merry Christmas and may you and yours have many more happy years with your nostalgic kitchen items!😊🎄

PS: sometimes I think I'll be replaced before these items die! Lol
