Those "Evesham Gold" plates are rich and beautiful, Carmie. Just right for the holidays; they speak of harvest and plenty!
This thread is delightful. So much fun to share finds and stories with other "dish freaks"!

No, I don't have special dishes for the holidays, but I think my every day dishes are pretty special, so I am happy to use those.

Oh, how pretty! I've never seen the deer pattern before.
Yes, mine is Churchill Queen's Myott. Some of my pieces were made in England but the later ones were made elsewhere. They also made the turkey pattern in blue or brown only, but I like the multi-color.
Churchill also has a Christmas pattern.

Hey, these are pretty darn nice!
Ladies, I read through this thread and LOVED every set of dishes shown (even the paper ones)!
Admittedly, I have an addiction to lovely dinnerware. When I visited Biltmore, I was so taken with the fact that they had a HUGE room filled with floor to ceiling shelves just for china. They needed ladders to get to the top. They had place settings for hundreds!
Now THAT'S the kind of china pantry I want!
Everyone enjoy their beautiful dishes.

I saw this pattern online this morning and it's calling to me a bit. I DON'T need it. Need it as much as a need some more inches on my hips.
It's just my husband and me, but I do like to go all out for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. If anything, I would only get some dinner plates, and maybe some salad plates.
Anyway, it's fun to dream.....and scheme. Ha!
I just saw those at Pfaltzgraff and on SALE! $89 if you buy from this link http://www.pfaltzgraff.com/plymouth/dinnerware-set/V42603800.html?dwvar_V42603800_size=16PC
I discovered these the other week, and never have seen them before, I love them, but maybe next year I will get them! I use the theme of cornucopia for Thanksgiving with fruit and pumpkins, and use my fruit pattern dishes!

Thanks again for all the nice responses. I'm loving all these beautiful dishes......loved the paper "plateware", too. Ha!
Here's the dishes I have for Christmas. Call me juvenile, I don't care. I fell in love with these bears years ago and I have a ton of this stuff. It's nice, though, cause you can use it all winter long, not just for Christmas. This pic is a listing from Ebay and was about the best representation I could find. The pattern is Pfaltzgraff Snow Bear.

OMG! Sorry for that huge picture. It's so big it's making me dizzy.
So sorry....it didn't look that big before I submitted it.
