Work full time and clean my house myself. We have a crazy boxer that doesn't do well with strangers and my MIL lives with us, after one day with her, I fear the cleaning help would quit.

I enjoy cleaning my house. Do my own yard too. Not sure how successful I am at either, but not going to beat myself up about it especially where I work full time. I find as long as I keep up it's not that bad.

My mom comes once or twice a week to do basic cleaning, bless her heart. It's her way of helping us out and I do other things for her like having her smart phone and iPad on my phone plan. She sometimes cooks too and can eat with us or take some home. It's awesome! She spends time with our Bichon, who she loves, and of course visits with me since I work from home. She knows how busy I am and she says it makes her feel good to do something for us. I really appreciate it and gift her with things she would not buy for herself but she really wants/needs. It works for us! Best deal I've found and we can trust her for sure

Yes, I clean my own house. I doesn't always pass the white glove test, but it's pretty close. Couple times a year, I thoroughly clean it. Weekly, I do light cleaning. I don't have clutter, so it's fairy easy to keep it orderly.

My daughters both had housekeepers. They both got rid of them because they had to 'clean up' before the housekeepers came (they had to pick up the toys, etc).

Why? Because it used up the time when the housekeepers had to go around and clean up before they 'cleaned up'.

I need to find a good housekeeper. My problem is that I have so many personal business papers and numbers lying around, I can't find anyone I can really trust.
