Do you keep the crock pot, if you have the instant pot? I am running out of room for some of these appliancecs and things I see that I'd like to have. Just curious. Its only the two of us, so not like I am cooking for several, usually.

I got an instant pot two years ago and since then, my crock pot has been living on a garage shelf. The only time it was used was when a neighbor borrowed it!

I found the slow cooker function of the IP to be lacking. I cooked some shredded beef and it took about 18 hours to become tender..

I have read lots of reviews that the Instant Pot slow cooker is not very effective. I have never used it as a slow cooker. I still have two slow cookers.

I decided against getting an Instant Pot because I finally found a slow cooker that is absolutely perfect for my type of cooking. I don't need hurried-up pressure cooking too often, anyway.
Have discarded several slowcookers over the years because of the heavy and hard-to-clean ceramic interiors.
Finally l found an ideal one that has a lightweight nonstick ceramic insert, can be used on the stovetop to sear meat before slow cooking or perform other prep tasks, and works great. I've had mine for about a year now and really like it.

Model number SCCPVI600-SAvailable directly from the Crock-Pot company. I got mine on QVC but it sold out and I don't believe it's offered here anymore.
I have that crock pot model and love it too. To be honest (I have an IP) - if you use its SAUTE function to brown meat, you have to scrape the bottom or else you get BURN errors when you continue doing the cooking. It does not like to have pieces of meat stuck to the bottom.

I got rid of my slow cooker and rice cooker, have never had any problems using the InstantPot for both functions.

I love my Ninja Slow Cooker, not so much my InstaPot

You don't need the crockpot anymore. You can use the slow cooking function on the IP to do the same thing.

I have limited storage space so when I got my Cook's Essentials PC with the slow cook function, I gave my slow cooker to a friend. The quality of pressure cooked food is so superior to that prepared in a slow cooker, I'd thought I'd just use it rarely. I've been very pleased with the food I've cooked in my PC using the slow cook function.
