@ladyann45 I am really picky about coleslaw. My Mom made great slaw and this may have been better. Sorry Mom.
Let's just say I'm glad she closes in the winter, her food is too much of a great thing.
Facebook had a picture of her fresh blueberry cobbler with vanilla soft serve on top. It looked so good, but I could feel my arteries clog just looking at it.

We are a beer and barbcue destination. One of our best is "12 Bones". Everything they do is wonderful.

Love everything mentioned. My mom made great cole slaw, also.

My college roommate's son owns a nationally recognized BBQ place, Sweet P's, in Knoxville, TN. I hope to someday try it ( their website looks devine).

We like our home-smoked, St. Louis cut, barbecued ribs. Just my favorite bbq dry rub mixture and a meaty rack of ribs. Tastier and less expensive than any we've tried from restaurants over the years. And we get three dinners from one rack of ribs.

When someone mentions BBQ, I fondly remember my days in West Texas and my lunches at Big John's BBQ in Big Spring. Best I ever ate and when you live in Texas, you become a BBQ gourmet.
The building was literally an unpainted shack where you had to wander through the kitchen to pay your bill. During cold winter days, an ancient pot bellied stove in the middle of the dining room heated the place. It was always crowded, and Big John himself, an aptly named individual, presided over it all.
The pecan pie, a special treat, was yummy too.

Not a big meat eater, but once in a while I do get a hankerin' for a bbq brisket sandwich. Our neck of the woods (NY metro area) is NOT known for BBQ, but it's become very popular in the last five years or so and and now we have some good places to choose from. I make a pulled chicken in the crockpot that is quite easy to make and comes out delicious. I know it's not genuine bbq, but it's really good in a pinch. Funny, I just remembered the best brisket sandwich I ever had was up in Conway NH. Who would think?

I would love a BBQ beef brisket sandwich. I also like chicken and sausage. Pork would be my least favorite.
Early in our marriage my DH accepted a job offer in the KC MO area. We stayed 6 years and the barbecue there was heavenly! I live in NJ now and there is no decent bbq here.
I spend winters in the Tampa area and have found very good bbq there.
