Re: Do You ENJOY Holiday Cooking And Festivities, Or Now DREAD The Thought Of It?😁

My late husband looked forward to the holidays when our oldest son's family came with the 3 grandsons. Same with me and I did enjoy the cooking and baking. So much different now. He has been gone 8 years, grandsons all in the military. Last year my son came with all the sons plus the mother-in-law and brought dinner from Cracker Barrel and was the first time I had a break from cooking. I think this year will be another change but still not sure how.

NO; my family and I are not into holiday festivities.  We prefer nice, peaceful, quiet holidays at home by ourselves, with our favorite foods.

I've dealt with food allergies most of my life and long ago accepted I cannot trust others to cook for me.  I cook because I have to, and our holiday meals are limited to our few favorites.

Every one of our family members are within 10 miles of us; we see each other all thru the year, and choose to enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas on our own.

@RedTop Welcome!🥰 I think that is a wonderful, intimate  way to spend the holidays! Being with those we LOVE❤️, alone or in a crowd is what makes the holidays more meaningful!💝
