Thank you @Nightowlz I printed it out for the summer fun.  For my weekend bender food I have a bit of Janie's Cake still at home and a bakery fresh pound cake I bought this morning.  I am ready for Friday night television.

@beckyb1012

The beach pie sounds like something light & fresh for summer.

Yum fresh pound cake sounds good.

I thought about making some of Blue Jean Chef's blueberry muffins. I tried her banana bread & thought it was really good.

Well I have the cakes for backup because this weekend is my attempt to make my first buttermilk pie.  My DDL's favorite so if all goes well I will do again for Easter.  If I have to throw out my sweet tooth is fine with CAKE.  I did tell Noel the other day on here I had to hold my nose and close my eyes when I bought the buttermilk.  One of my all time favorite pies too @Nightowlz.  The beach pie I am thinking for Memorial Day family food fest we do every year.  I like to make something different when I can.

@beckyb1012 Never ate any buttermilk pie.

I don't think we are doing anything for Easter. I think DH will be glad to take a break.

I hate buying buttermilk because I never use it all. I do have some of the buttermilk powder in the refrigerator. DH still buys buttermilk when he makes biscuits.

The Beach Pie would be good for Memorial Day get together.

Off to walking I go. My Fitbit wants me to take a stroll. LOL!!!

Now she tells me @NightowlzHeart  If this works that will be my go to instead of the liquid, YUCK!!  Buttermilk pie is so good warm, cold, or room temp.  Store bought so so and Luby' s a bit better.  But a local church who sales them only twice a year since the 1950's OMG!!!!!!!!!!  Have a great weekend and I will keep you posted on my thoughts of my creation and my DDL's too.

Is it any relation to cake by the ocean?

Buttermilk freezes U all. Put one cup measures in mason jars those little half pint jars, store in freezer, thaw out when needed.

that powder is awful.

@SharkE That’s good to know. I always have it left after making whatever.

My grandmother actually drank it. I don’t know how she ever did that.
