It continues to amaze me, even at age 60 and after almost 30 years of marriage, that men can morph into an 8 yr-old boy at the drop of a hat! It can be eating, picking up after themselves, leaving messes, pouting, throwing tantrums, ... like I said, never ceases to amaze me.

He gets these fad diet plans and he loses weight but because it's not normal healthy eating he puts it right back on. He lost seventy pounds and put it right back on. He doesn't do what yours does, and does eat what she cooks
His last contract job, he was able to walk to work. Because he wasn't driving to the fast food places, he took leftovers for lunch, or came home. Because he packed his lunch, he didn't eat 3 helpings at dinner. He lost weight and kept it off.
Let's see: exercise + healthy eating + portion control = weight loss.
No fads, no apps, no epiphanies.

His latest revelation is that chicken with the skin on is high in fat.
I buy skinless/boneless. When he buys the cheaper chicken parts with the skin, I remove as much as I can.
Apparently, I do that for kicks and grins.

You can't just put 70 pounds "right back on" ..... he liked the idea that he could have a "free for all" after losing the weight and "it wouldn't matter" ...... but he certainly is to be commended for losing 70 pounds! ![]()

Yes, you can. That's what yo-yo diets do. I see my husband do that every year, though it's not 70 pounds. He doesn't gain it back in a week, but it comes back with a vengeance.
This morning, he said he wanted a jelly donut. He didn't eat any carbs yesterday, so that will be okay, right?
smh

LOL, sure.
Sounds like he's not committed. That's how most diets go, it's pretty hard to actually commit to a lifestyle change. My husband is the same way. I eat a lot of healthy foods with my junk food and exercise. When he gets crazy I hand him a juice.

What was his A-HA moment this time? What made him decide this even after his donut purchase?
