An new young associate at the law firm where DD works gave her a tin full of homemade sugar cookies, Oreo truffles she made and a small bag of candy from local candy company. Oh, she added a gift card to Joanne's too.
Holy cow, if she decides to bag being an attorney she will make good money as a baker/candy maker.
I was surprised the truffles were not overly sweet. I might need that recipe.
Fudge was as far as my candy making went.

Oreo truffels don't sound exciting to me at all. Hope this works out!

@CrazyKittyLvr2 Were they like rum balls maybe with Oreo cookies cushed instead of vanilla wafers? That sounds good!
I have never been a fan of fudge, but I do like Bourbon or rum balls! How bad could Oreo Balls be?????

The Oreo truffles are a fave in my family. I make them several times a year. It's one package of oreos, not double stuff. Crush them up, I use a rolling pin with the oreos in a gallon size bag. Once crushed, I put them into my mixing bowl and add 8oz of softened cream cheese. Mix them well. I put the mixture in the fridge for an hour or so.
Once they are cooled, roll them into balls, about the size of a ping pong ball. Melt chocolate, the best is melting chocolate. Roll the Oreo balls in the chocolate and let them set. I set them on either wax paper or the silicone mats. If you are going to decorate them with sprinkles, do it right after them come out of the chocolate. Put them in the fridge to set.
They are very easy, yet oh so good!!

Can't go wrong with oreos.

@Sooner I know they had Oreos, of course, and cream cheese. Not sure what else but they were good.
DH loved fudge, any kind. I like a small piece of a good PB fudge. A little goes a long way.

@meallen616 I've never heard of butterscotch fudge, but I'll bet it's delicious. Butterscotch is so yummy.

The oreo truffles are always a big hit and so easy to make. I think my boys could eat an entire batch all on their own. I add liqueur to one of my versions. Really good with Baileys or Frangelico added for an adult version.
