I'm not sure David works that much more than some other hosts.  Of course, he did do his cookbooks and tour to promote them which is part of the job.  I think they are putting his name on more shows because he sells and sells.  I'll check out tonight's show.  I don't care much for his Thursday night show, so no longer record it for watching later.

Not interested in the "all food" show.  I don't watch Mary's show any more either and Mary and Rachel--another "not for me."

@SharkE   Guess that makes sense.  I haven't moved beyond  KA = Kitchen Aid and gave mine away because it was bored in the basement.  Thanks

@maximillion Thank you for replying - I'm still stuck on LOL which I've never been fond of - - but I'll try to expand my word shorthand.

I wish I had a better memory.  That way I could be able to remember which Hosts love, love, love a particular food or item.

I think there was a time when certain Hosts were put on selling each item as often as possible.

No one (hummm...didn't I just say this on another subject) loves every food or item.

It would be more believable (loving something) if, whenever possible, a Host was able to say with some kind of honesty, "I use and like this".

I don't watch many beauty shows.  What I use I really like, so I find most of them boring.  Same thing with the food shows.

I just keep QVC on for background noise.  Again, I have no idea if the same Hosts sell a particular item.

I think some people are better than others at faking it.  A lot of people like watching David and his cooking shows.  Although, as someone said, I don't know what a vacuum or shoes has to do with food.....

@homedecor1 - The food theme was not the part of Mary's post that is likely to keep me from tuning in tomorrow, but I'm not thrilled about it, either.

With all the kitchen-y stuff going on now, I'm not sure if I'm still excited about the fact that tonight's YHJ episode is also kitchen centric, but at least it should be more calm and "enjoyable"...  Smiley Happy

@SharkE I don't really have a need to know....but it's rather frustrating to be reading and hit "letters"   SMEG and ROFL    which means nothing to the reader.  What's the problem using English spelling?

@fthunt  you took the words right out of my mouth!!!! ....why do they do that? 👎

David and his cooking shows have become one big bore.  He hugs the vendor, does a few happy dances, makes some yum yum faces, mentions colors about 5 times, tells how many have been sold in each color, then tells how many remain in each color, goes through the colors again, hugs the vendor good-bye then repeats the same process for the next item.  He sure has a lot of imagination.

Uggghhhh, we're only six minutes in and I'm already done watching ITKWD on Fridays; they're approaching the show like they do with Stacey's on Q2 and Gourmet Holiday on both channels where there are random vendors and hosts wandering around in the background during presentations and "sitting in" for tastings and such. I find it all very silly and distracting. Hope the David fans enjoy it...

@loriqvc: I think the tasting sessions are being used as another way to sell more food. HSN has a food show on Mondays at 5:00pm where the host serves food and chats with guests around the dinner table.
