I have several in both wood and plastic in several sizes. I use the thin flexible ones far more than the others. Convenient for when cutting an onion, etc. you can take it over to the skillet/pot on the stove and add the contents of what has been chopped.

My boards are bamboo, 1 is, but mostly the hard plastic--however, I am planning to buy titanium ones to replace the plastic ones----altho I use only certain ones for meats, I still have to bleach them to make sure they are sanitary. Titanium does not need that extra care.

I've mentioned this b4.
My uncle owned a grocery store & butcher shop. The state health department required him to get rid of all wooden cutting surfaces due to bacteria risks & cross contamination risks, and to replace them with stainless steel. He was informed that wood has a porous surface and can harbor bacteria. Plastic was not mentioned.
I've never seen wood used in any current grocery store deli or meat dept. Stainless steel yes.

Epicurean are the best (ask any chef). You can find them on Amazon, any size, and they're not expensive at all. They don't harbor bacteria like wood and plastic do and you can put them in the dishwasher to clean them. They're great and they don't scratch.

Are glass cutting boards sturdy. I would think they would break easy. I tend to drop stuff easy.
