I love this, but one question--have you ever seen an oval cucumber? They are always round..sorry if this is a dumb question..I would love to make this

Haha, that was my first thought, too!

Actually, my first thought was "how pretty!" and my second thought was, "where do you buy oval cucumbers?" And my third thought was, "they are probably cut on an angle to make them oval-shaped."
