@BirkiLady  This set, like most cookware that contains Aluminum looks Coated with non stick material. also, Aluminum cookware these days is usually CLAD. The aluminum is pressed between another metal so the Aluminum is never directly in contact with the food.

@candys mine

I've heard the demo and understand it is clad. That's the problem I have! Does the clad portion wear off like the 14K on Diamonique that so many buyers complain about?

I don't understand why people buy clad anything when they could be buying the real deal with stainless steel or 14K!

Looks would never impress me enough when it might affect my family long-term healthwise. I know 14K or 18K (or platinum) jewelry will last a lifetime, as will my cookware made of stainless steel.

ETA: Also, have read many reviews about various non-stick materials which also peel off or disintegrate over the years. I did try one of my stainless steel company's non-stick pans which was not so wonderful (and put it in the trash after a couple of years). Found it's better to be a good cook than to try to expect the cookware to save burns.
