Have many pieces of Le Creuset. Use them weekly for cooking.  Most are over 20 years old.  But I have not purchased them from qvc.  We have a Le Creuset outlet near us and some were wedding gifts. Great durable cookware.

I beg to differ.  A few years ago I bought a pot and decided I didn't like it, mainly because I didn't know how to use it.  So I  took it down the basement and threw it on the floor to break it up to put in the garbage.  I threw that thing many  times and nothing happened.  I have never owned any product that stood that pressure.

Now I have 3 different pots and I use them frequently.

I'm surprised you didn't kill the floor.

@faeriemoon - That thought had just occurred to me a while ago!  I'd never throw my Le Creuset on my basement floor.  I'm sure it would crack the cement!  That would be an expensive repair, just to get rid of a pan I didn't want.  Woman Surprised

I have a set my mother gave me in 1975.  Some of the pans have the wood handles.  Plus, I have a few extra sets and pieces I've collected through the years.  I've never had a probelm with one chipping.  I did cook something on a little too high of heat one time and the food burned and stuck like crazy.  It took forever to get it back in working order again. I still collect and buy used pieces if I think they are a bargain.  I do baby my Le Creuset cookware.  I nevert put them in the dishwasher and hand wash them. Any enameled cookware needs to be used with care.
