Re: Cracked nine by thirteen dish

I am sad and disappointed. I have enjoyed collecting temptations and have more than I care to admit. I live alone and take proper care of all the pieces. I have had stoneware for decades and it outlasted all the mistreatment of the children. I even gave the dinnerware to other family members when I started collecting temp-tations. I have never experienced cracks or chips until I started collecting temptations. I overlooked the reviews because I truly enjoyed my collection. I never write reviews and often overlook some imperfections in products. I have a 9x13 with cracks in multiple places after 2 uses, that was the first, then the baking sheet cracked, the old world vivid dishes have hundreds of very small fine cracks, now one of the new (just received 2 wks ago) plates in the floral lace large pattern has a large crack. Having stoneware over the decades I do know how durable it should be.

Re: Cracked nine by thirteen dish

I don't doubt that people have had problems with Temptations.

I have not. I cook lasagna in the 9x13 regularly, and use the lid it, and still no cracks. There is a "fill line" in the baker. My pieces go in the dishwasher regularly.

I like the way it looks. They're not terribly expensive - one thing I do find is, the stoneware is a great conductor of heat. I turn my electric oven down after I see the food bubbling as it seems the internal temp of the food in the pan is sufficient.
