Kirkland may have two types, but the one I buy is fantastic! It is somewhat flat in appearance, and comes with current glaze packets. It is so moist and not red inside as the hams with added coloring. I buy it for New Year's Day and Easter. It can be kept in the freezer for quite a while, if necessary. This is not a spiral ham.

mousiegirl, the one you described is the Master Carve ham.

Thank you ladies for all your answers. The Mastercarve sounds good, but our local store doesn't carry it. Has anyone seen them in your stores this holiday season?

I don't have an experience with the hams, but everything I've gotten that is Kirkland brand has been VERY good quality.

I don't eat ham, so I can't speak to that, but I've never been disappointed with the Kirkland brand. I always buy Kirkland coffee.

Not sure of your location, but I got a Kirkland Master Carve ham at my local Costco here in Tucson just last week. They had more of the red foil wrapped spiral cut hams than the Master Carve ones, but they were next to each other in the deli case.

Here's a look at what the packaging looks like if that will help you spot them:

We had a early Christmas dinner today and I served the Kirkland Master Carve ham. Delicious! My BIL who always has Honeybaked Ham said it was just as good. Thank all of you for helping me have a WONDERFUL day withy family.

I had a sample of the Mastercarve ham yesterday and it was delicious. It was next to the spiral cut ham. I'm going to get the MC for New Year's.
