Costco membership fee going up!

I got the renewal notice for my Costco membership in the mail today; it's going from $55 to $67 a year. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

I won't be renewing - I live alone so I don't use it enough to warrant paying that much; I'll renew Sam's Club instead. That one is only $40 a year, and I can split the membership with a friend. Sam's also has a far better selection of pet supplies and clothing, which is what I'm most interested in. As for gas prices, they're higher in Georgia than Tennessee, so the "cheap" gas at Costco isn't any bargain for me - it's about what I'd pay at Walmart.

My membership is good until March; I'll just make one big trip and stock up on anything that I might want before then.
