Re: Copper Chef disappointment

Merchants complain about returns and I complain about defective, cheaply made merchandise.

I say return it.

Re: Copper Chef disappointment

I really like mine.  I have had no prolems whatsover with mine.   I use mine to make macaroni and cheese - stovetop to oven, have made roasts, fried chicken among many things in mine.  I have used it heavily  and I'm not one to treat anything as fragile.

Re: Copper Chef disappointment

I've had the same results, Pook.  In the last week, I've made mac n' cheese three times (for family and friends) , and not a single problem with any of the cheeses sticking to the pan.  I've also made chicken and dumplings among other things with similar results.  I'm very pleased with this pan; however, I did notice last night a mark on bottom of the pan but as long as inside doesn't scratch, I'm satisfied.

Re: Copper Chef disappointment

I was really hankering to try the Copper Chef, but don't need another pan period.

Until I went to TJ Maxx and saw them in person!

They are thin, and according to a lot of posts here, come with different directions than what they tell you on the presentations here, about use and care.

Because of the quality (so thin!) and the discrepancies in what is said and what is provided in writing, I quickly lost my urge and now have no intention of buying anything from this line.

I chatted with the Q and of course they will accept the return.  I decided to double check ALL the cardboard recycling (we have a big bin for it too) and lo and behold, there is the packaging!  Yahoo!  Back it goes.

I'm glad those of you with good experiences are happy.  Wish I was one of them, but alas, this one's not for me.

Re: Copper Chef disappointment

After watching presentations thinking it was God's gift in the kitchen, I purchased one at retail.

It's thin and I didn't use metal utensils but it still scratched.

I now only use it for things that are really really sticky or easily burns.

@Catlady Nicole any packaging would have been okay for the return- you can also print out another return label and invoice on line.

Also- the same thing happened to the bottom of my pot. Woman Frustrated I have the hsn version of Copper Chef.

Really love all of mine- I have the original square 9" and the oven cookie sheet with crisper rack..Also the meatloaf/bread pan which is fabulous-Have owned way over a year and use 3-4 times a week and have had ZERO problem swith any flaking or sticking..- I mostly use the 9" on an induction burner..

In fact I cannot say enough  good about it- I grab it way more than my Caphalon or Le Creuset-

At Christmas I made fudge and other brittles and candies  in it, and it is so light and easy to hadle-  I can do it alone, where two of us could barely lift the Le Creuset Dutch oven  before!

One thing that  bothered me with these Copper Chef products is that most of them only have a 60 day limited warranty...............

There's probably a reason for that.
