I prefer non stick but DH wants something else. I take care of my pots and pans- hand wash only, use medium heat, use silicone spoons  on a gas cook top. Considering everything previously mentioned- the faberware cooking pots do not last. Current set is two years old and the 5 quart stock pot on the inside has a small spot where it is starting to chip or come off. Any suggestions for tried and true cookware that is easy to use and clean. Previously purchased a few pieces of the faberware stainless steel but everything stuck to the pan and very difficult to clean and went back to the non stick. Suggestions greatly appreciated. Re: Cookware suggestions please

I like stainless steel except for fry pans. Stainless you can put in dishwasher.

always looks pretty and shiny. Best fry pans are at Sam's Club. Won't peel, chip, etc.

Stainless is great if you learn how to cook on it.  There is a lot of information online.  The only non-stick pots I've had for 25 years are a few skillets mainly for eggs.

It's all about using the right heat, letting meats sit until they are ready to release, and pouring some hot water in the hot pan when you are finished.  I don't find mine hard to clean at all.

You can find great buys on All-Clad, which is what I've used for a long long time.  They are great!

@kitcat51: Thanks. I purchased the strainer pot and love it but the handles get hot. I purchased the cookie sheets and loved them until they started to warp and this was just after the warranty expired. Southern Bee

I've had my set of cookware in the Stone color & never had hot handles, it's the best set I've ever had & the bakeware too. Wish I had another suggestion....Happy Hunting.

I have Wolfgang Puck stainless steel pans/pots from HSN.  LOVE them.  I also use copper pans from E. Dehillerin and simply adore those as well.  Good luck with your search.  Happy Cooking.
