Re: Cooks Essentials

[ Edited ]

I never had much luck with Cook Essentials.  My pressure cooker didn't last long....less than a year.  When I called for the warranty, I was told only the non stick vessel was warranted.

I ended up sending my lid, gasket and removable  vessel to a poster on these forums and threw the rest of the pressure out.  It stopped working while I was cooking something.  It just stopped half way through.

My cookware never lasted either.  I had several types including hard anodized ...all gone now and I even have two cast iron vessels like La Creuset.  The white interiors wore away and now the black cast iron is showing through.

I cook every day and from scratch.  It takes a really good product to last and to impresses me....Cooks Essentials. wasn't it.

I still use my stainless steel Revere Ware.  It looks beautiful and it is 51....soon to be 52 years old. Now that is good stuff.

I miss the old Cooks Essentials enameled cast iron skillets.  My husband is asking for a skillet but I don't want to pay $100 or more for one of the higher end brands.
