Do you have frozen or pantry items that you always have on hand to help with recipes. I always have a bag of frozen peppers and onion mix, because it saves me a trip to the store if I run out of fresh. Then I keep a few cans of Rotel on hand because it gives a boost to many sauces. How about you ?

Some of those dry mixes help flavor my crock pot meals. I usually have ranch dressing and Italian dressing mixes on hand. Dry onion soup mix is good in meatloaf. I always try to find low sodium versions and really don't notice a difference.

Typically, no.  I choose recipes because I like their results and I'll shop for the required ingredients accordingly.  No helper ingredients necessary other than seasonings.

I prefer fresh veggies but always keep a few bags of frozen spinach, mixed veggies and peas.  Just in case I want to whip up a chicken pot pie or soup.  Also I always keep a stock of chicken broth and pasta sauces.

It's so difficult to buy nice fresh cauliflower where we live, so I keep some bags of that plus frozen cauliflower rice and mashed potatoes. Also have the bags of frozen onions/peppers.

Yes I have alot of things in my pantry like that---

I use frozen fruit and greens for smoothies so those are in my freezer. I use lots of canned beans and tomato products. Different types of rice and pastas. I do like the frozen peppers and onions too. Lots of spices and dried herbs. a variety of nuts.

@QVCkitty1   I just recently bought a few bags of frozen peppers and onions, great when you are out of fresh peppers.  They were really a time saver.  It was a store brand, I think they were cheap, too.

I do keep broth, chick and beef, and I always have hidden valley ranch dry mix.  Great on cubed potatoes roasted with a little olive oil.

Also, always have a few jars of salsa on hand.
