I've seen even all clad call them that so maybe you need to? I swear some people will nit pick over the dumbest things.

My small saucepan with the slightly wider rim and rounded bottom is a saucier. It allows you to whisk without hitting corners.
What's your idea of a saucier?

That's pretty much my idea of one also, but it doesn't change the fact that I see the word used more and more for regular pans.
