Cook's Essentials - Hard anodized flaking!!!

Has anyone else had their cook's essentials hard anodized coating flake off? When I dry mine with a white towel, it looks like flakes of black pepper coming off. I don't know how long this had been going on before I noticed. I'm afraid we must have been eating hard anodized flakes for quite a while. Isn't this supposed to have a lifetime guarantee?
