If I were ever seriously harmed by a product that I had used correctly, I would file a complaint with any relevant government agency or private group.

I would do the same.

so would i...... and at the very least get a free consultation with a lawyer.

Re: Consumer Product Safety Commission

I think those who have had family physically injured would have the best chance of having their message accepted. I base this on my understanding that this is the commission that deals with auto deaths because of design problems, injuries to infants because of dangerous crib designs, etc.

Those would also be the same people who might wll benefit from talking to a lawyer.

this has been one of my main questions for years...why has this never been done?

This was done a long time ago when everyone was saying the product was full of lead - clearly, the CPSC did not find that to be true and the entire subject went away. So I say you all should do it- In my opinion the % who have problems is small and within an acceptable limit and I think (after reading things like "it cracked on the grill" ) that they will not find any issues with the product but I highly encourage you all to go for it. I think it would be great if this constant carrying on about it would go away the same as the lead issue did.

Yes, hence my wording in my previous post: If I were ever seriously harmed by a product that I had used correctly, I would file a complaint with any relevant government agency or private group.

I agree with both of you. Hopefully there are not that many instances of actual personal harm or harm to a person's property. If that had happened to me, I would definitely have reported it.

I think the main sticking point is the number of problems that people have with cracking, breaking, etc. and that would not be under the auspices of the CPSC unless, of course, someone gets hurt. Some people just refuse to believe that there is a very large number of people who have problems with this product. I've even looked at other sources of reviews for it on the Internet, and many of those are not good either.

Someone at QVC or at the Temp-tations company really should pay attention but, as others have said, as long as people keep buying it, both QVC and the company will continue to ignore those who feel like they have totally wasted their money and have been so disappointed. I'm sure many people who have liked Temp-tations until they started having problems would buy it again if these issues were resolved, myself included.

Posters have issues with different things, they post about them on different forums, and on occasion seem to be almost shouting to the rooftops about their "problems" with a particular situation. And some of them apparently hope these particular issues with Temp-tations will just magically go away, but it's not going to go away as long as the problems continue. There are new people coming here all the time reporting their bad experiences with this product. Maybe the rest of us who have had cracking, breakage, bad painting, etc. just need to shout louder and more often.
