Back in April I ordered the auto delivery of David's large 1.5 cookie dough. That was my first order ever for David's cookies. Received them in perfect condition. Dry ice and still almost frozen. Wonderful cookies.

Couldn't wait to get the next order in June. Well, I did and it was a dissapointment. They arrived with NO dry ice at all. The boxes were very damp and the cookie dough was thawed. When I went to bake one batch the next day I couldn't hardly get them apart to bake. When I baked them they just spread out and were so greasy. Didn't taste very well either.

Granted the temperatures here in Texas were very hot. But they were all over the country and you'd think that the company would see this and add more dry ice to make sure the cookies arrived at least partially frozen or at least very chilled.

I contacted the Q and let them know how I received them and was credited back for the purchase.

I then contacted David's cookies with pictures of it all. And  I suggested that they add more dry ice to the shipments in the future since the temps have been so hot  to help keep the cookie dough chilled. As of today, July 22nd, I have recevied NO response from them at all.

They must not really care about their customers.

Dont' know if anyone else had an issue with their cookie dough because of the temperatures or not.

Re: Company customer service

I think companies are doing the best they can given all the issues we have today with the weather extremes all over the place, lack of hard working employees (I have seen at so many places), high shipping costs, etc.

Be happy you got your refund in full.  I ordered those cookies as well, so I will be sure to get to my next delivery as soon as I can.

Re: Company customer service

I would cancel orders for frozen and meltable  foods until the weather cools in late October.  It's just too hot for dry ice, with possible shipping delays.  I got chocolate from Amazon with a cold pack yesterday and the cold pack felt like a hot water bottle.  I rushed it to the fridge.

Re: Company customer service

I would have just let QVC deal with the issue.  Since they're the ones giving the refund to their customers, it's in their best interest to provide the feedback to a vendor.
