@Pezzie wrote:@Nightowlz You really know how to tempt a person. Ice cream looks so good, and like so many others have mentioned, I have a big bowl and spoon ready.
Enjoy your bounty.
I would share over the internet if I could. We sill have half a container of the ice cream left.

@loriqvc wrote:Yeah, I know most of the country associates Georgia with peaches, but the peaches from Utah and Colorado are absolutely THE BEST. Yummmm...
GA peaches are really good too. I have ate peaches from CO, OK, TX, AR, AL, FL, GA, SC.
The best ones we have ate are some a guy brought up here from TX. They were the juiciest freestone peaches. He broke apart a peach with his hands. Juice running all over. So good. We do love the CO peaches.

@Kachina624 wrote:@Nightowlz. Where are you that you get peach delivery?!
I'm in OK. Cunningham Peach truck comes here 1 or 2 times per year. We have to sit in line to buy their peaches.
Some people that live in our area buy peaches from Noland Orchard in CO every year. They sit in the parking lot of a country store we have here every Fri-Sat from Aug thru Sept or when peaches are all gone.
The country store is just down the street from us so we can pick up fresh peaches every weekend.
We always buy 2 cases of the Cunningham when they are here. I freeze some. We give some to DH's mom & sister.

@Nightowlz. I wonder why the peach merchants never make it to the Albuquerque area? Seems like we'd be closer and larger market. I've never heard of Colorado peaches being sold here.

They must not drive out that direction.
Looks like they only go to KS, OK & TX. They have added a lot of TX locations.
If we want Porter OK peaches we drive a 5 hr trip to get those. It's worth it. We may be going over there soon to buy fresh apples.

We used to get peaches from a roadside stand when I was young and then come home and make peach ice cream! I always remember how good it tasted.
One of my daughters introduced me to white peaches this year. Well I got one and let it sit out til just right-not tooo soft but just right. And then put it in the refrigerator for a day. And it was the best peach I've ever had!
My grandkids like them too very much.
I remember them making peach ice cream at family reunions years ago. It was so good. I'm glad I found the recipe we use online which we really like.
DH was waiting in line to get ice he told a lady he was going to make peach ice cream. She asked him if we was going to use cream to make it? She said she made some with some orange pop? LOL!!! I don't think we want any made with pop.
That's funny @Nightowlz!
a little ice cream for your homemade ice cream or some orange "pop" too!
I just remember ice and peaches and maybe milk? I'm not even sure about the milk. Then we put it in a kind of hand grinder cannister thing
and voila! I always was amazed how little ingredients could make such a delicious ice cream!

Good question. ![]()
We've been able to buy them in Los Alamos and Santa Fe. But when you add the cost of gas to the price of the peaches, it gets pretty steep.
