Last week, I went to a Cold Stone store for only the second time - ever. After they made up my "like it" concoction, I saw a 'tip' jar at the check out. I guess I haven't ever paid attention if there have been tip jars anywhere else (I'm usually just in a hurry to get in and get out), but after I paid for the stuff, the girl grabbed two bucks from the register and shoved it into the tip jar. I thought it was strange - but maybe it isn't? Is this something that is normal and expected at a place like Cold Stone where they mix up your dream dessert?
