I also like the insulated Tervis products, but I just use the Tervis travel cup and use the lid to help retain the heat. This keeps the coffee hot much longer than a regular coffee mug.
I also would like to say that I really enjoy reading all the helpful posts on these forums. I have learned a lot from all of you.

@Tee4u wrote:Look for a coffee brewer that has a thermal carafe! It brews and hold the coffee very hot for hours! Amazon currenty has a one under $ 90: Cuisinart DTC-975BKN 12 Cup Programmable Thermal Brewer. I've been using this model since 2011 and it is great. It has a double-wall insulated stainless-steel carafe. I prepare coffee for the morning the night before and it is still very hot in the am.
Another tip for hot coffee is to preheat your coffee cup or mug, either by microwaving a couple inches of water or filling with hot water.
I have this one, too, and it is great. I must wait for it to cool off in the morning before I can drink the coffee.

@chiclet wrote:I have had many coffee makers and cannot find one that makes really hot coffee. I just got the Keurig 2.0 and you can gulp down the coffee as soon as you pour it in your cup. I even heat up the creamer so as not to cool the coffee. I feel like I have to drink fast to keep it from getting cold.
I found one on Amazon that DOES make hot coffee, @chiclet . It's by Better Chef. I picked up the single-cup version for a song and use it every morning. The coffee is piping hot after brewing. This one doesn't use K-cups...regular coffee and was my preference as I'm pretty particular about my coffee and drink it black. They also have larger models, depending on your needs. HTH's![]()

For me a perculator is the only coffee maker that always makes a HOT cup of coffee.

I think what's *hot* for one person is not the same for the next.
DH and I sit and drink our coffee together. He starts his cup right away, I have to wait 5 mins or so. My tongue would be burned if I drank it right away.
There is a coffee maker (or several) where you can adjust the desired temperature. I saw someone post about it over on Viewpoint or Community chat. I remember thinking, wow they must really like HOT coffee!

As soon as I turn my coffee maker on (Mr Coffee)...I fill my mug with hot water, then when the maker is done I dump out the water , and get my coffee.....
Like the other poster said, this works great. Resturaunts do this with their plates...
