Facts.  Go look 'em up.  Economics plain and simple.

Im boycotting fish from the dirty Asian waters. Consumers need to be aware of the source for seafood as well as meats.

It's no more shocking than the prices QVC charges for any of their food items.  You're paying for shippiing and packaging, possibly more than the actual cost of the food.  There are plenty of folks who can afford it and don't balk at paying for the convenience - and that's great.  For me, the value is not there.  What I'll never understand is those folks who probably cannot afford the food items, so put them on 4 or 5 easy pays and are paying for food months after it's already been eaten.  That will never make any sense to me!

@Reever I don't get your obsession with "the younger generation". I don't think you need to have fear for them. They are no different from us. They go to school, get jobs and earn a living. Some may lead better lives than us. Just as Boomers have their predecessors.

If you cannot afford Q's cod, I'm sure you can find it elsewhere. Everything is not for everybody. I would love to buy a Porsche. I cannot afford one, I am not upset with the company because "I am locked out" of buying one. I am satisfied driving my new Nissan SUV.

I still have the cod from the summer. It is individually portioned & sealed. We didn't like it.

@RollTide2008 ---$11 isn't bad and really, I am not a battered fish fan anyway---like mine cooked in a foil packet with veggies and lemon and maybe a splash of white wine, herbs and butter---

Then this product isn't for you.

Just about everything comes in varying price points.  My family drinks milk that's $4.79 for a 52 ounce bottle, making it almost $12 a gallon.  Store brand milk is $2.68 a gallon.  Yesterday someone here was fussing about $120 jeans.  I didn't think that was an obnoxious price.  My office mate gets takeout for lunch every day.  I don't know what she spends, but I'd never spend as much as she does on lunch when I know the recipe for a sandwich.  I drive a Cadillac, but a Chevy would get me from point a to point b, I guess.

I bought some talopia from Walmart and I don't normally buy any meat or fish from there but I happen to like talopia. I hadn't had it in a long time. I know some people think its not great fish to eat.

I baked it last night and it was very good.

It was 3 big pieces and I paid around 8.50 for it.
