There was recently a thread on this topic on the Beauty Board which led me to believe this stuff is very popular with a lot of people.
I took note yesterday when reading a world-wide news service, that about 1/3 of the world's supply of coconut palms was destroyed in the horrific typhoon in the Philippines last year. The price of coconut so far has risen from about $800.+ to $1450.+ per ton and is expected to continue increasing.
If you have a chance to buy a supply at a good price and you use it, you might want to take advantage of it.

This floors me....and I think it's an example of special interest making money off of a bad situation. If you've ever been to the Carribean, coconut trees are everywhere, and you have to be careful that none fall on you! Here is Florida, alot of us have coconut trees and people have them carted away (which breaks my heart: I'm sure the nuts are destroyed)....of course, nobody would ever think of tapping into these resources-they will just hike prices.
