Cleaning a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer?

Hi Ladies,

Although I've had mine for going on 10 years, I sometimes STILL think that I'm not cleaning it thoroughly enough. Unfortunately, our counter space is limited so I do not let it sit out (I have to lug it out each time I use it and put it back). I usually take a damp sponge after using it and wipe down the base and the top, trying to get into the nooks and crannies of the parts.

Is there something else I should be doing? Sometimes I find that I've missed spots and I don't want any food crud sitting on it for too long.

Any tips?
