Love it, @rockygems123 ! Do you or your DH fish?

I live in a town with lots of waterways and fishing enthusiasts. A dresser and mirror like that would be in hot demand.

OMG...I can't imagine how you manage to get dressed in a reasonable amount of time !!! Takes a lot of effort....

One suggestion before you carry everything out to the trash:  decide on the 3 basic colors you look best in.  Put all the rest in another room until you are satisfied with what you have chosen.  You may want to add one color for a particular season if necessary.  Keep that in a drawer to save room for the clothes you want to keep hanging nicely in your new, decluttered closet.  Get some cascading hooks so you can have 2 or 3 blouses / tanks hanging from one hanger on the rod.

Time Management item:  80% of the time we wear only 20% of the clothing items.  Which slacks are those for you now that you determined key basic colors for tops ?  This should help you pare down the # of shoes too.  Then on to bags....( maybe...)

Suggestion: shorts and mid-leg summer pants should be folded....they could fit on the small shelves of a hanging shoe-type holder.  Good idea to reinforce the shelf liner with cardboard or a sturdy plastic sheet.

I hope this helps with your starting point.  Grouping like colors together also is a great aid.  Should save time when getting dressed as well as when you go to purchase new items.

Re: Cleaned Out Your Kitchen Junk Drawer Lately?

When we moved in to the new FL condo last summer, as I was cleaning out the kitchen I opened the very, very wide junk drawer.  It had to a guy's idea of Paradise....

Among all the duplicate and triplicate items, in the very back of the drawer was an unsheathed machete.  It was quite wide and long.

...maybe it was for the juvenile bear I saw walking down the length of the screened lanai out back.....

@rockygems123.  That's the fanciest junk container I ever saw.  Maybe your junk is nicer than mine.  A very good looking piece.

@Desertdi.  My clothing situation is so out of control, I think I'm not "woman" enough to fix it.

We are in Colorado and it fits right in here too!  It has been a while but I love to fly fish. Plus we live across the street from a lake so it's all good.

And it fits right in with my canvas of Wilbur the moose Smiley Happy

Do you fish?

Re: Cleaned Out Your Kitchen Junk Drawer Lately?

@rockygems123  Alas, I haven't fished in a long, long time. Used to love fishing with my dad and grandpa. Although it was not exactly productive. Anything we caught we tossed back into the lake as my mom refused to clean or cook fish and heaven forbid the men should have to do anything like that.

I still have in my own junk drawer (back to topic) dad's old pocket knife with its fish-scaling tool in case I ever end up lost in the wild and have to fend for myself.

Somebody needs those Periea (or whatever spelling) folding storage bins with windows.

Or, clear plastic bins so items can be seen.

I use a lot of the Periea containers and helps me keep not only my closets but other spaces as well organized.
