What a horrible discovery I had the other day! I'm normally on top of cleaning, but this escaped my attention.

For some reason, the light hit the Keurig just right and I saw mold growing inside the water container. My husband usually fills the water tank, but he never saw what was lurking in it. He probably fills it when it's still fairly dark and he doesn't turn on the bright kitchen light. Later that day, I checked my daughter's Keurig and she had mold in hers too.

So, from now on, we will regularly wash the thing out. I just read on-line to run vinegar through it every few months to clean out the entire inner workings.

Don't wait to see mold! Clean it regularly!
