I love cilantro, so I guess I don't have that gene.  But then I really like broccoli, too, so who knows?

I enjoy cilantro—but like any green herb, add too much and it tastes like grass and leaves instead of a pleasant flavoring.  Smiley Very Happy

@Franell.  I d9 too but only a very small amount so I can barely taste it.  I think many people use too much.

Yes its good. Like it in scrambled eggs, guacamole & will throw a few sprigs in salads to give it a kick.

Yes Please on Cilantro!

Fresh Cilantro or Italian Parlsey always in the kitchen. Ground Coriander in the spice cabinet and added to most dishes to add a brightness.

Interesting to see more dislikes than likes responding, so far. Amazing this Chomosone 11 specifically OR6A2 mentioned by a previous poster dictates this aversion. All beyond my pea brain!

Happy Friday (almost)!

I love cilantro! I already dried all of my herbs, including my bumper crop of cilantro! Love using all of my homegrown herbs over the winter. Heart

I love it and don't have the gene mentioned above by @Itsjustme4 . I've read that those who love it and don't feel it tastes like soap are the normal ones, the ones of us who love it are abnormal. Doesn't matter to me, being normal is probably not something I subscribe to. We have a noodle/soup restaurant in town that puts it in almost every single dish they offer. A friend and I went and, when she asked the waitress to have the cilantro kept out of the dish, the poor waitress just had that deer in the headlights look. I try to grow a plant every summer and use it very sparingly in my salads; I always add a little to the store-bought salsa to kick it up.
