What are you having for Christmas dinner?  I don't want turkey.  Have made lasagna in the past but really don't want that this year.  Thinking about getting some nice steaks but I just can't decide or really think of anything.  It's just going to be me, husband and daughter.

@ScrapHappy. Ask your family what they'd like to have.  Group decision.

Re: Christmas Dinner

[ Edited ]

For several years I did a rib roast. Everyone wanted the end pieces.

I changed to ribeye steaks, a wonderful lettuce and mandrian orange salad, twice baked potatoes, and a tomato pie with Gruerier cheese.

Fresh Market does dessert.

I might roast a turkey again because we really like it and rarely have it, except for Thanksgiving.  Plus, our Golden eats real food and turkey (from a roast) is fairly economical to feed her.  So we'll either have another turkey or a ham.

We never have ham, and this might be the year we change things up.  You can do so much with leftover ham so I think it will be ham in 2020 !

We generally make a prime rib dinner, baked potato and ceasar salad.

My hubby also make the best chocolate mousse on the planet and he only makes it for Christmas!

That's what I'm leaning towards...ribeye steaks for me and my husband.  Daughter doesn't eat steak so I'd make her chicken.  I like twice baked potatoes and my daughter LOVES them.  I've tried to make them but they never come out right.

What is wrong with your twice baked potatoes?
