@Desertdi : When ever I made pepper jelly - brother upset cause not enough heat.

Friend gave me habanero. Mercy. I wore thick rubber gloves , wore a mask, had kitchen door opened and used air purifer. I only made four of the 8 ounce jars.  Horrible. Brother came for the jelly that night and the house still smelled like hot pepper. The next day, brother called: Trying to kill me with that hot stuff. I replied: you wanted Hot Hot pepper jelly.😯😃

I can go all the way to habanero and I even had ghost pepper hot wings once! Spicy food makes me feel alive! 🙌😁

@SportyShorty07 I don't think "alive" is how I would categorize how I would feel Smiley LOL

@OneHappyHiker  hahaha OneHappyHiker 🤣🙌. I've been eating spicy food since kindergarden, so the hotter the better! Spicy food is a roller coaster ride for the senses- I love it. 😅

Love spice.  I even use jalapeño ketchup and sweat and hot pickles.  Tried habanero chips once, but they were a bit much but I still ate them.

@OneHappyHiker : When I made pepper jelly with the jalapeno pepper for me: I removed all the seeds and white stuff and added bell pepper. But the recipe for my brother included the whole pepper and double amount of peppers . He still stated that wasn't real pepper jelly. I was tired of hearing that and ready for revenge. That was the last pepper jelly that I made for my brother but he told everyone . He was a practical joker and baby sister finally got him. I didn't tell him it was a different recipe. I miss my brother, he died two years after different pepper jelly recipe. I used about 30 hot peppers in that recipe and just ground them up whole.

@SouthernBee Such a wonderful story!!! I laughed a lot and I know what it's like being the little sister to the older brother because I am one as wellHeart I'm SO glad you got revenge though because seriously, my brother to this day keeps me on my toes; I can never tell if he's joking around or being serious lol. Poker face for sure.

I'm sorry your brother passed, but it sounds like you have beautiful memories of your times together. But I would still watch out... he has even more power now and who knows what he's cooking up (up there) for some 'hot HOT pepper' revengeSmiley LOL

@OneHappyHiker : I totally agree and understand. Always pulling pranks with the poker face.. He was 5 years older. The experiences I had from his former teachers. He would be sent to the office for spankings and threats of being expelled. I would be in the office with the principal and janitor working on my leg brace  or crutches. I was a premature baby  with cerebral palsy. Brother had a very high IQ and I had the lower IQ. Back then our mother was the first teachers aid and president of the PTA because she was at the school so often.
