@Reever.  Kind of like Bob Boringsox when he called himself a chef!

I am of the opinion that it is misleading the customers to call someone "chef" if they are not a chef.  I pretty much knew he wasn't when they had a customer question segment one time.  He couldn't answer any of the questions; and they were pretty basic.  Why can't he just be Tony?  Why Chef Tony?  Because they will sell more of his junk that way.

The celebrity cooks who sell their wares on the Q have considerable knowledge in all areas of cooking, and they aren't referred to as "chef."  So why does this non-chef decide he will be called "Chef" Tony?  He should be called Gadget Tony.

I'm not sure if I consider it misleading or not to call him "chef" if in fact he might not actually be.

According to Wikipedia (yes I Know, I Know) he was raised working in restaurants and catering businesses of his mom and grandmother, and was developing things on his own by high school.

So he seems to be well grounded in the food world, lots of experience and self taught, which in my mind can often be much more valuable than traditional education and degrees/certificates.

Regardless, I find his humility, kindness, sincerity, and grateful attitude to be priceless. QVC could use a few more vendors with his demeanor.

@Reever;  Why must posts be so negative.  I read several of yours.  This person has true humility, very gentle,  kind to everyone, not pushy and treats  everyone kindly. MarcCharles is also a gem with a sense of humor   I don't know what you want in a vendor.  I ask, what are your requirements for a vendor. And your qualifications for such negative ratings. Just asking.

Professional naysayers and critics--for  vendors, show hosts, individual posters, subject matter being posted, etc.-- are in plentiful supply in this wide-open venue.

I personally don't post many recipes anymore because, several years ago, I was criticized for posting "too many " recipes.  (????)

I assured everyone that this would not happen in the future, although I couldn't understand how it was possible to post "too many recipes on a recipe forum".

LOL!!

This is the Kitchen forum. There is a recipe forum. Probably what they meant when they told U that. I wouldn't sweat it we get all kinds of stupid posts in here that has nothing whatsoever to do with Kitchen. MOds, don't seem to mind it. I don't understand it and have asked for claification off line to my own email, but, they wouldn't respond.   So, I try to ignore the dumb threads

Pleas post in the Recipe forum I'd enjoy reading !

I believe there other directions to channel an investigation...was Chef Boy Ardee really a chef or have hordes of toddlers been duped while having Spaghetti -o's around their fingers ,stuck in their hair , and other places ?

I like Chef Tony.

@SharkE

If you were directing your post to me, I always have  posted  recipes on the recipe forum, and that's where I got rebuked  for posting "too many"  (to my immense amusement at the time).

I think of the kitchen thread as a place to discuss cookware or other things NOT  directly  relating to measuring and combining ingredients to make a dish.  LOL!!

Oh, I thought you meant here where somebody took offense.

Strange, then, they jumped on you in the actual forum.

To me Kitchen means discussion of all things realting to Kitchen and Q's products relating to the kitchen.

I don't think you know of the posts I'm referring to or you skip over them too. Just go down the Subject lines and you will see what I'm talking about

Of course, the Kitchen forum is to discuss kitchen gadgets, products, cookware, anything relating to KITCHEN that's my point.
